Lectranal® and intradermal inflammatory reactions
The objective of this research was to confirm the previously conducted research on the effect of Lectranal® in the menagement of inflammatory reactions using intradermal testing.
METHODS

Freund’s adjuvant was intradermally injected into a group of mice. After 4 days of treatment with Lectranal®, the inflammatory process was visualized by methylene blue dye and after that the size of the oedema was measured.

RESULTS
Figure 1. Reaction in mice that were given Lectranal®
Figure 1. Reaction in mice that were given Lectranal®

In mice that were given Lectranal®, no significant development of oedema occurred.
Figure 2.Inflammatory reaction without the Lectranal® administration
Figure 2.Inflammatory reaction without the Lectranal® administration
At the same time, the mice that were not given Lectranal® developed an acute inflammatory reaction.

The size of the oedema without the Lectranal® treatment was up to 4 times greater.

CONCLUSION

Lectranal® attenuates the inflammatory reaction induced by Freund’s adjuvant and prevents the occurrence of oedema, which confirms the results of the former research on Lectranal®’s anti-inflammatory effect.
